Dying Light Key Generator: Enjoy the Game on Steam with No Cost and No Risk

Head back into the hallway and clear the couple of zombies while you wait for him to open the door. Behind the door are some walkers and the zombies in hazmat suits. Shoot their gas tanks for an explosion to kill them all. Swipe the key card you picked up to open a door that leads to the offices. Go to the back of the room and climb into the ventilation shaft to reach the power generators.

Dying Light Key Generator

Follow the pathway of the ventilation until you reach a bright light and a dead zombie. Turn left here to cross pipes and then make another left to reach the next room. This room is filled with toxic gas near the floor. Grapple to the top of some shelves and make your way to the back right corner, just above the red door. Use the same strategy from the clinic entrance to kill the zombies here. Also, try and explode the hazmat walkers to save your own grenades. When they are all dead, go to the folk lift across from you. Hit the switch on it to lower its load. Climb on top of the crate to reach an opening in the wall. Follow the pipes to the next room.

Now that the city's power is back on follow Lawan up the stairs until you reach her. She wants to see what the city looks like from above now that the lights are on. She will rush to the top of the building to do so.

Lawan will be upset, and she insists the two of you need to check the substations to bring the power back on(against Aiden's wishes, who just wants to go to the Fish Eye Canteen). She will give Aiden a paraglider to traverse the city and get to the substation. With it, you can cover huge distances while traveling in the air and avoid dying or losing health when falling from high heights.

To restore the power, you need to repair the broken connection between the generators by connecting working generators (the ones with a green light) to broken ones (the ones with a red light). You'll connect them by numbers, meaning that generator 1 needs to be connected to the other generator 1 and so on. Each connector cable has a certain amount of meters, so you'll have to think very well about your moves between one generator another.

You'll find the green number two generator to your left. Grab the cable and use the rope again to get to the metal platform in the middle, then walk to the left and enter the room; you'll see the red number two generator.

It's also worth noting that it is possible to crack the safes in Dying Light 2, even if you don't know the codes. To do this, you basically need to rotate your controller's left analogue stick very slowly as Aiden attempts to key in a code. The controller will vibrate slightly when you hit one of the three numbers that appears in the code. Note down the three numbers, and then you just need to try them a few times until you get the order right.

Arrive at the building to find it surrounded by electrical traps and contact Jaffar. Shut off the generators, located to the north, east, and south of the building in small shacks. The body of Hanson can be found at the northern shack, the southern shack is locked with an easy lock and guarded by a goon, and the eastern shack has a toad atop of it. Enter each of the shacks and shut off the generators inside, then return to the building.

Interact with the door to initiate a cutscene. Lawan will be happy that the city is now glowing with lights, but the power will be out soon after. She will then insist you help her in bringing the power back on by going to the substations.

You will have to connect the working generators with the broken generators using a power cable. Each generator has a number printed on the top. Find the broken generator of the same number and connect the power line of the working generator with it.

The working generator of the same number is on the other side of the top floor. Grab the cable from the working generator and use the rope in the middle to swing towards the broken generator. Interact with the broken generator to attach the cable.

Once there, you will see a generator box flashing green with a cable on the front. Interact with it to grab the cable, turn around, and drop down two floors to see another red flashing generator that you can plug the cable into. On that same floor, you can find another green flashing generator located toward the opposite side of the room. Interact with it and drop down another two floors to find another generator to insert the cable into.

Turn around once more to find the third generator you can interact with, and walk outside to find another plank that leads the way. Drop down and use the Dying Light 2 grappling hook to break your fall, then turn around and do it again to drop onto another gravel roof. There will be a broken window leading into another red flashing generator, letting you insert the final cable.

Inside the Garrison Electrical Station that you'll need to fix as part of the "Broadcast" story mission, there's a safe next to the #2 generator. Next to the safe, in a box, is a note telling you the code is the approximate value of Pi.

As for metro stations/subways, these are your fast travel points. You have to get past enemies, then turn on all the generators to power up the building. Certain sections could have stamina requirements, too, implying that Aiden would need to jump and climb a lot to get to the top. Lastly, there are facilities or infrastructure that can be assigned to two factions: the Survivors and Peacekeepers (more on them in a while).

The Garrison Electrical Station is a location in Dying Light 2 that players will visit during the Broadcast story quest. There is a puzzle inside this building that centers around connecting a series of generators, and fans will need to solve it in order to get the substation running. For those players that may be stuck on the Garrison Electrical Station puzzle in Dying Light 2, a full walkthrough of its solution can be found in this guide

As Dying Light 2 players enter the Garrison Electrical Station, they will encounter a green generator with an "A" and a "B" on it. Fans should interact with this generator to pull its cable and then plug that cable it into the red "A" generator that is directly across the room. This generator is next to a metal gate, and fans should press the button on the other side of that gate to open it.

Players should now remove the cable from the "A" generator that they just powered up, carry it through the open gate, and plug it into the red "B" generator that is on the wall. This action will allow action RPG fans to use the button that is next to the nearby "B" gate to open it, and that is exactly what they should do.

After passing through the "B" gate, players should walk forward until they run into a wall, turn to their right, and then locate the yellow pipe in the back corner. Zombie video game fans should now climb that pipe, turning to their left as soon as they pass through the opening in the first metal grate. There is a green generator with a "1" and a "C" on it a few steps forward from this position, and players should grab its cable before continuing along the path and unlocking the yellow metal door.

Immediately after walking through that yellow metal door, players should turn to their left, drop, and walk toward the "B" gate that they opened previously. There are a series of ledges that players can climb above that "B" gate, and they should use their parkour skills in Dying Light 2 to go up two levels and find an open double door. The red "C" generator, which players should plug their cable into, is just past those double doors.

At this point, players should go back through the double doors and turn to their left to locate the "C" gate, which can now be opened. There is a green "2" terminal on the other side of that gate, and fans should grab its cable. With this cable in hand, players should pass back through the "C" gate and fall down as far as possible, descending some stairs to reach a flooded area. The red "2" generator is in this area, and fans should use their cable to power it.

This action will electrify the water in the area, and players should use some floating crates to jump safely to an open vent on the wall. Climbing through this vent will put fans inside a shaft that leads to the other side of the electrified room, allowing them to access the stairs they descended previously with minimal damage. At the top of those stairs, fans will encounter a red "1" generator, and removing the cable that was inserted into the red "C" generator previously and plugging it into this one will mark the end of this puzzle in Dying Light 2.

In order to shut off the generator, Crane must pull three switches. The switches around found in buildings that will be marked on your map. The southwest building has a goon and a few zombies in front of it. Lure them away with firecrackers or kill them. If you use firecrackers, toss them toward the electric side of the building and the zombies will walk toward their death. Unlock the front door of the building using your lockpick then flip the lever inside.

While trying to complete the Fame and Infamy quest in Dying Light 2, you will also need to complete a side quest called Prometheus. The Prometheus side quest is a side attraction that tasks players with restarting three power generators inside an abandoned metro station. If you have played the start of the main storyline, you will need to re-use a similar feature to repower three generators. The feature in question is a small mini-game requiring players to hook up cables while parkouring to all three generators. Besides hooking cables to generators, you will eventually also need to survive a horde of Viotials. That said, here's everything there is to complete the Prometheus Quest in Dying Light 2's Bloody Ties DLC:

To hook up all three generators during the Prometheus Quest in Dying Light 2's Bloody Ties DLC, you must start with the first generator. You can find the first generator by following the quest icon to the location shown below. To get to the location shown below, you must either parkour on obstacles to get to it or use a tool such as your Grappling Hook. After reaching the platform above the quest marker, you will need to turn on the power generator, which you can do by hitting your interaction key on the generator. 2ff7e9595c
